Guest Musician
I was just informed that Bar JET is going to have a guest female musician playing a few Japanese language acoustic songs during one of the breaks tonight. I don’t know her name, only that she is the daughter of the Naha promoter that is going to start producing a remake single of “Tequila Rose” that will feature house band JET drummer Koji (Kochan) and some other new female artist next month. So if you’re in the Gate 2 Street area of Koza (Okinawa City) come check it out. And advanced apologies to our regulars if we happen to be too full tonight due the free music-based club tours that tend to fill-up the club rather quickly during the first set. Good news is the band plays five forty-minute sets starting at 9:00 p.m. breaking at 9:40 and restarting every hour on the hour (10:00, 11:00, etc.). So there is a good chance things will clear enough for you to be able to come and relax comfortably and with breathing space.
For those of you present last night, then you already know that the info provided for last nights guest perfomance was inaccurate. The guest “musician” was neither a female acoustic performer nor the daughter of the producer of an upcoming CD, but a trio of musicians (a new major Japanese label female vocalist with a new CD, a keyboard player, and a male guitarist). Furthermore, they didn’t play the first break but later in the night and the music played wasn’t appropriate for the atmosphere of Bar JET. Flashbacks to last year’s guest performance.
